Stomping Out Hunger

The Lone Jack School District has collaborated with Harvesters - The Community Food Network, to bring the Mule Pack Program to our schools.

At the end of each school week, a backpack of easy to prepare, kid-friendly foods and snacks is sent home with students. There is no need to "qualify" for this program, it is designed to assist any family that needs support.

Last year, members of the Lone Jack community made generous food and monetary donations to the Mule Pack program. This year, need in our community has grown. Many families are struggling financially. We are currently sending home over 50 backpacks each week.

If you choose to help, donations of grocery items and money are happily accepted throughout the school year. Below is a list of grocery items needed in our pantry. Contributions of any size are welcome! Together we can ensure every child in our schools has enough to eat, every day of the week.

Our food pantry is located at the high school. Food donations may be delivered to the high school during regular school hours. Monetary donations are accepted at any school office, or mailed to Karen Fiene, 201 W. Lone Jack-Lee's Summit Rd. Lone Jack, MO 64070.
